Editorial Samples

At Ooligan Press, I had the pleasure of working on a number of fiction and nonfiction titles at various stages of the editorial process. See the books I’ve worked on and samples of my contributions below.

As the managing editor for Ooligan Press’s first-ever mystery novel, Finding the Vein by Jennifer Hanlon Wilde, I lovingly ushered the manuscript through each round of editing from the first heavy copyedit to the final ebook proofread. Here are some examples of editorial notes I’ve sent to the author at both the heavy copyediting stage and the medium copyediting stage. I have also included a sample of the medium copyedit that was delivered alongside the editorial note.

I worked on a number of heavy and medium copyedits for books including Laurel Everywhere by Erin Moynihan and The Step Back by J.T. Bushnell, both fiction coming-of-age titles.

I had the pleasure of working on several developmental edits for titles including Court of Venom by Kristin Burchell, a fantasy title, and Finding the Vein. These developmental edits included writing detailed notes to the authors, a sample of which can be found below.
