Hi, there!
I’m Erica (she/her), a thoughtful, conscientious editor with experience in developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading. A lifelong lover of school, I received my BA in English from the University of Portland and my MS in book publishing with a specialization in editing from Portland State University.
As copy chief for the student-run, award-winning trade publisher Ooligan Press, I edited fiction and nonfiction books as well as marketing and social media materials. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of editing short- and long-form copy for a wide variety of clients including Nike, Adobe, HP, Spotify, Scholastic, and more.
In my free time, you can find me reading books of personal essays (right now I’m loving The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green), playing cozy video games, knitting, or probably some combination of the three while watching reality TV.
